Hello New Yorkers!

I was hoping for some help finding places to get good training without being riped of. Hospitals, colleges, anything.
It would also be great to find a combined training say ekg tech/phlebotomist to make one more versatile in career options.

Thanks!

Go to your local fire station/emergency services station....they can usually pt you in the right direction, atleast for the EMT

Phelebotomy...I would check out the closest community college.

Aw Chubbers. Your first useful post ever hahaha.

Sorry, OP, for hijacking your thread. I agree with Chubbs, FWIW.

You can get phlebotomy training at For-pay plasma donation centers. Most hire you as a technician to get you familiar with the machines, and then you move on to actual phlebotomy after a few months. It's a job of course, but I did it for three years while in undergrad and it was a great experience.

For EMT:

Check out Laguardia Community College (Long Island City, Queens)

Thats where I did my course, they are pretty well known within the EMS circle. They offer paramedic training (as a degree program and a certificate program) as well.
