I am looking for some honest advice. I recently submitted my application and noticed a few grammatical/spelling errors that I SOMEHOW missed. Is this something that is worth calling the schools I am applying to since it is still before the deadline and sending a correction to my mistakes in a document, or do you think I should let them go? I'm not sure if following up will show dedication and commitment, or if it will shed light on things the admissions committee may never have noticed in the first place. The mistakes are within my experience descriptions, not my personal statement.

Let it go.

I totally agree with @gyngyn and @Angus Avagadro. It clearly would have been better to have caught them before they went out, but they are unlikely, on their own, to be fatal.

The direct answer to your question is bringing it to their attention is more likely to hurt than help. You are less likely to get credit for showing them you caught it after the fact than to get dinged for not catching it before it was submitted. Only move at this point is to leave it alone and allow whatever is going to happen to happen. Good luck!!

You won’t get dinged for a typo and it might not even be noticed given the volume of applications

I had mine proofread by several people and still missed a couple small typos (accidentally truncated an email address etc). You'll be fine. As long as they're nothing huge, it's really not the end of the world.

I had a typo or two on a few of my IIs (very minor typos) that I did not realize I had until after my interviews. Honestly, if it isn't something major then don't worry much about it.

If it makes you feel any better, I do have a good secondary typo horror story haha

Thanks! They're just a few errors along the lines of missing the word "and", and slightly misspelling two other words. Luckily they're in experiences that are on the "older" side and nothing I highlighted on my app. I really am hoping they are not noticed.

thanks! As I replied to the other person on this thread, they're just a few errors along the lines of missing the word "and", and slightly misspelling two other words. They are in experiences that are on the "older" side and nothing I highlighted on my app, so I just hope they are not noticed.
