So I just checked my grades and I'm crushed.

A in Cell Biology
A in Ochem II
A in Ochem II Lab
D in Physics II 🙁

I planned on applying this year, but now I'm not sure.

Original plan: Take MCAT July 22nd with all other application materials already submitted. MCAT study time May 15th - Test Date (~10 weeks).

My question is should I:

1. Retake physics this summer and push back MCAT & App until next cycle. Physics II summer session starts 7/12, btw.

2. Wait until next spring to retake it and keep everything the same. Not offered in fall semester.

3. Take physics in the summer while trying to study for the MCAT (there is a 2 week overlap).

The good thing about option 3 is the adcoms will see the D and the better grade (hopefully A). But I'll probably go insane trying to balance everything.

What do u guys think I should do? I'm leaning towards option 2 personally. I have a summer trip planned and my tickets aren't refundable haha, but I'd only be out a couple hundred dollars.

What do you guys think?

Option 2 definitely. Do not spare time from MCAT studying.

Thanks, I have the same feelings.

I have to at least attempt to get in, but I wonder how much more I've lessened my chances with this D.
