I have interviewed at 4 schools so far (2DO, 2MD) and I have been accepted to my least favorable choice already. I would definitely attend there if I did not get in to any of the other 3 though. However, the nonrefundable $1500 deposit is due DEC 15 and I don't know if I'll have any decisions from the other 3 schools by that time (most of them said the committee meets around that date)

If you were in my shoes would you pay the deposit and risk losing $1500 (almost all of my savings) or skip the deposit and pray at least one of the other 3 work out? I felt good about all of my interviews, but it is my worst nightmare to get accepted somewhere and end up turning it down and not getting in anywhere else.

Any advice will help!

Pay the deposit as another acceptance isn't guaranteed. That loss if you end up getting into your top choice will be worth it in the end.

I am in a similar situation. I paid the deposit on the DO school. Better safe than sorry and as you said yourself, you'd be happy to attend there. Congratulations!

Thanks guys!

Definitely a better place to be in than having no acceptances!

that's an extremely tough situation and I applaud you for choosing to pay the deposit. I may not have done it myself if it was all of my savings and was confident about the other interviews. idk...I'm a risk taker.

The check just has to be postmarked by dec 15th.. So I'm still going to hold off and not mail the check until that afternoon. Praying to hear something before then!!
