Advice on EDP at school that accepts many edp apps

I would say that MCG via EDP is the best idea, but I wouldn't recommend it for you. This year, I know of a lot of applicants, with good scores (3.8+ 33+), that did not get in during EDP. Why? Who knows. Medical school admissions doesn't make any sense.
I would apply to a lot of schools (unless MCG is really where you want to be), and see what happens.
I applied to MCG via EDP and was accepted. They took 70 out of ~210 applicants via EDP.
