ANY ADVICE? I'M TRYING TO STUDY FOR THE AUGUST MCAT AFTER GETTING A 29 ON MY APRIL. My Acchilles heel is...you guessed it...verbal. I took the Kaplan, and it helped to kick up my science scores to 11's and 12's. But how can I do better on the verbal. Right now, I'm reading the New Yorker, Economist, Time, etc. in hopes of improving reading speed and comprehension. Is that a good plan, aside from doing numerous practice tests? Also, I found that the REAL THING was more conceptual on the physical sciences; are there any good guide/study books that have study material which is reflective of what's on the AAMC, besides the Kaplan's 700-page monster book?

TRY READING PASSAGES RATHER THAN MAGAZINES..YOU COULD ORDER AAMC PRACTICE ITEMS AND THEY'LL SEND YOU A BOOKLET OF PASSAGES, QUESTIONS, AND ANSWERS. 🙂

DID YOU GUYS LOCK YOUR "CAPS LOCK" KEY?? IT'S LOCATED NEXT TO THE LETTER "A."

To start with, it will help you more to focus your MCAT questions in the MCAT forum. That's what it's there for!

Secondly, check <a href="http://forums.studentdoctor.net/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=36;t=000068" target="_blank">this thread</a> out and smile! 🙂
