Advice on low sGPA

currently in my second year and having some struggles. Normally I’ve always been a good science student but last semester I made a couple of dumb mistakes and got a BC in a 300 level chem course. Now I’m taking organic and despite putting in TONS of effort (like 10x the amount of effort I’ve ever needed to put in before) I keep getting below average grades on exams. Is it possible that I just am not smart enough for medicine? Any other advice for this situation?

Go to your school's learning or education center ASAP

You are more than likely smart enough. Your study habits need to improve. You need to find out what kind of learner you are. Visual, auditory, etc. As @goro.said, see your advisor and go to your learning center. Good luck and best wishes!
