I'm at a crossroads now, since I pushed my MCAT back, and might be forced to push it again if I get hired to work overseas for the summer. I thought might as well bring up my GPA and add more recommended classes this fall. Two classes I want to take for sure are genetics and statistics. Should I take these two classes at a cc that is right next to my house, or pay a little over 1K more to take them at a university like UCLA, or through UC Berkeley Extension (online)? I want to apply both MD and DO, but I'm lacking upper-division science classes. Not sure what schools will think if I take more classes at a cc. Just so much cheaper, and save over an hour driving time per day. Any recommendations will be great!

Don't take classes at cc.
Don't take classes online.
Do take classes at UCLA.

Where do you go to school right now??

It would be through UCLA Extension, since it's near impossible to petition and get in a class on-campus.

I'm at a cc right now, since I finished my undergrad many years ago, and grad school a couple years ago. If I push applying until next year, I just want to be sure I take the right classes at the right school to have a chance at getting some interviews for alo schools. Just having a hard time coming up with a plan on what to take and where to take them.

Extension schools are just fine. Many non-trads take things through extension schools without issue.

Thanks. It's pricey and a drive through traffic, but it is probably better then going through Berkeley's program online. Thinking of taking stats, genetics, anatomy, and cell bio, unless it would be ok to take stats at a cc?
