Hi fellow pre-dents!
So, I need some advice for retaking classes after undergraduate.
During my undergraduate years, I did not do well in some upper division classes and few lower division classes.
The trouble is, most of the upper-division classes (like, 4 out of 5) were classes that were electives for my major, meaning they weren't really required for dental school. They were Research in Neurobiology, Cognitive Neurobiology, etc.
As of now, my back-up game plan is to start over and retake the classes that I did not do well on through signing up for University Extension at my alma mater (and yes, I'm fully aware that GPA gets averaged out).
Anywho, do you have some advice on how I should plan for my classes? Should I retake the electives, just the ones that are prerequisites for dental school, or all the ones that I got under B's?

Thanks for the advice!

Your GPA does not get averaged out on the dental school application, both grades will be entered. As long as you got a C or better, you should be fine--and as long as your overall GPA is over a 3.0 and your science overall GPA is a 3.0 or better and you do well on the DAT. What are your actual stats and have you taken the DAT yet? If you haven't taken the DAT, I would do that before I paid for a bunch of new classes. If you score well to offset your lower GPA, you won't need to retake the classes.
