If you have everything ready to apply including letters of recommendation I say go for it!

I think it's pretty late.... your concerns are valid and exactly what I'd be thinking too. I took my DAT exactly 2 years ago today (wow!) and I was also worried about applying so late. I'm a CA resident and staying here was my first choice, but really there are so many people here with crazy amazing stats and that's why it's so competitive. Anyway, if you have the resources and if you have everything ready, you can try your luck this cycle. However, if you have yet to get everything together, apply early next cycle, right when it opens. The 20AA is I think slightly below average for almost all of the private CA schools, and below average for the UCs and Penn, so make sure other parts of your application are strong. I'd also up your volunteering hours to 100+. Good luck!
