Hi!!! I am a little late in joining this forum and realised how much i missed here!
Ok i need suggestions. I am an orthodontist in my country , have 2 years of work experience as a dentist. I scored 88 in part I ( 1st attempt) , GPA of 4.0 and TOEFLS 257.
I have applied to couple of schools , but no response so far 🙁 .
Should i write Part I again and try to improve my scores( difficult to do as i am working full time to support myself)
or write part II( will that help???) 😕
I am really depressed with the whole thing. Any kind of advise will be appreciated , need some moral support .
God bless !!

You have great stats.. don't get depressed by 88... which schools have you applied to? If you have applied to NYU, you most probably will get in. I would say just take your part 2. Apply for a DA job. If you don't get in anywhere, I am sure you will get in next year.
oops... didnt see you have a job already. Don't worry you will get in :luck: :luck: :luck: ... Which schools have you applied to?

I was rejected by Upenn, 've appled to Colorado, minnesota, NYU. no response from BU .

Upenn has a unique criteria for acceptances. So has Minessota (as it was motivated by Upenn). I am no member of the admissions committee nor is anyone else here... 🙂 I know it is easy to say but... patience and you will most probably get calls from NYU and Colorado. :luck: :luck: :luck:

Hey SHERNI !
I think you have a PRETTY decent shot ! Never give up ...
You always have a good chance with %88 on part I, but ofcourse, you chances will be substantially better with a %90+ score. It depends a on what your priorities are ? Can you handle studying part II (new material) with your job, or would it be better for you to try to improve what you already have ? I can't really make that choice for you ...
Having said that, if apply with your current stats, you should have a good shot at interviews and acceptance, considering that you have a strong application as well, which from your description, seems to be the case (experience and overseas MS).
Good Luck !
