has anyone who has interviewed with einstein had it at Beth Israel on Union Sq? I have my interview there this monday, and I wanted some feedback. It shouldn't hurt my chances, right???

I did. It doesn't hurt your chances. But getting up to the campus for the tour was a big pain. Who are you interviewing with? The guy I had was so cool. There's a starbuck's next door to the med center if you get to the interview early 🙂 You can PM me, too.

yeah, i didn't realize it would be such a big pain. how helpful was the tour and luncheon.... would it be detrimental if i skipped it??

btw i have dr. bert perterson for my interview...

You know what? No. You don't even meet anyone from admissions on the tour, you get to meet a bunch of happy helpful med students, sit in on a lecture, have delicious kosher chicken and rice and see the student housing. I'm almost to the point where I think if you've seen one med school you've seen them all. I probably would've skipped it if I had it to do over, except that I'd never seen the Bronx so I was curious about it. Do you have the name of your interviewer?

sorry, some more interview questions. the card i got said to be there at twelve for a luncheon and tour that lasts til about 1.30 - was it really over at this time (i ask because i have work/class later in the day)...
also, what are the specifics on the express bus from midtown???

Hey MedAppGurl,

The "New York Bus Service" express bus picks you up at Madison Ave. and 24th St. Make sure you take the "Morris Park" BxM-10 line. The cost one-way is $4.00 exact change or you can use your metro card (so long as it's not unlimited). I think the ride took me about 45 minutes to get to the medical school. And yes, I believe everything was over on time at about 1:30pm. The tour and lunch is given by second year students. No faculty gave any presentations when I went there. One last thing - check out the schedule for the bus to help you make your plans - http://www.nybus.com/morrispark.htm

Best of luck! 👍
