AEGD Eastman Program starting June 2010

As I said once before this is the only program in the U.S, that takes this long .
I think I lost my sense of feeling up to this point, so when bad news come it does not matter any more...
Let us enjoy the weekend, & forget about Eastman for once...........
 
i called ms. foy again last wednesday and the same answer she's giving me wait and wait and wait...lets just hope and pray..🙂
 
Called now.. Said more details will be declared maybe by this week. So we all have to wait! She said she just sent only the rejections which the director h givn her and doesnt know if thre are any more rejections for sure.
she told there are a few unfilled positions andmaybe dis week round w mite hear something. so all in all- no particulr details abt no. of seats/ no. of rejections pending.

Do you mean, she sent some new ones today or are you talking @ the ones she had sent a couple of weeks back!

@ confused tooth- she dint send ny more letters after the school reopened. So she was referring to the ones she had sent out in dec.

I tokd to her yesterday...And she said they were busy filling up the GME seats last week.And there are still some unfilled seats and the selection process is still goin on..but about the time frame when all of us will get an answer..she said she cant say..
so keep ur hopes alive.
 
Hi all, I just called Ms. Foy now, but she is out of the office..
 
I heard they start sending out rejections & acceptance...
Soon we have to start acceptance Post....

Lesions... REALLY? from where did u come to know that??? And did dey already strt?? So should we know from the mail tday/tmrw??
 
And acceptance mails/calls??? are they sending out only mails fr all the acceptances and rejections??
 
Hi dr fairy, they will send both acceptance & rejections in mail. So maybe by next week we get them by mail.
Big envelop, means accepted, small envelope do not even open its rejection.

Good luck with you all, friends. I had already got my rejection letter in early december.
 
Lesions.. did u directly know dis frm the Univ? Bcz tday Mrs. FOy told that she wud hav a meeting scheduled soon with the directors to give her the final list fr the remaining seats.

Hi Dr Fairy, I don't have any information about the results but I think that this week is going to be the final week; but you can review the thread from last year. some people received both rejections or aceptance letters at the beginig of March. We have to be patient.
 
But how many student are they accepting for this year??👍

I just called her up. Seems just one seat left and rest seven are filled. No timeline of when we'll know. Its vague.
 
did they already made the calls to the 7? or they havent say anything yet?

I have a couple question about this program. I hope you can help me.
The AEGD eastman program is a 2 years program? After 2 years you got a DDS degree and it's possible to practice in others states, or only in NY?
How many students they accept each year? How is this program different than the other ones?

I heard from insiders.... no more seats left..... all of them are filled, but maybe miracles come and the ones who got accepted declined and the seats will be opened for the ones on waiting list... no news maybe you are still on waiting list.... good luck everyone

Hi . I am sorry if i will look very stupid , if i want to get in this program AEGD do i have to pass part 1 & 2 ? where is this school EDC ? do i have any options without part 1 @ 2 ? in order to have my dental license somewhere . I appreciate your time my e-mail is [email protected] I am Jorge

its in ny and no need to part 1&2 but they need toefl there acceptance is not clear i apply twice and nothing note i have part 1 and gpa 4
 
hi!.... has anyone talk to Miss Foy? any news? i cant believe noone in this forum has gotten accepted..... it is weird.... does that mean everbody is in waiting list?? how can they have these many people in waiting??

Yes, that's right smileface, it is very weird. One friend of mine spoke with Ms Foy and she says that the selection process is not done yet. I don't know how long do we have to wait. Any news please share.

I just want to know whether NBDE part 1 score is required to apply for for a residency program in Eastman Dental Center. I do have a masters degree from US in public health with a GPA of 3.94 and with 21/2 yrs of work experience in US in public health and GPA of 3.53 in dentistry with 3 yrs of work experience in dentistry in India

You are a great candidate... no NBDE part I ... the school loves applicants who is interested in research or have master's degree or phD
