So for those schools that accept you afterwards, is there a way of getting financial aid early so you can decide w/ full picture? How did you guys handle that?

Most likely not before you get admitted, but perhaps really soon after, depending on if all information was received by the school (e.g. FAFSA, parents and individual federal tax returns, institutional forms, etc.) before a specific school deadline.

Send your fafsa to all school you're on the waitlist for; also ask these schools if you can fill out the fin. aid applications.
