Hi guys! Have you been to an interview and felt really good about it but then you weren't accepted to that school? I guess I want to know if it does even matter if you felt good, because they may not want you any way?

I had what i thought were pretty good interviews at two ivies and several top state schools. I got waitlisted and later rejected at all of them.

At one school, my interviewer even invited me to shadow them in the clinic after the interview. I still got waitlisted and was rejected 2 days ago.

People have what they perceive as "bad" interviews and still get in, People also have what were "good" interviews and dont get in. Its pretty much a lottery in the end

Im just one person so its not like everyone has as bad luck as i did last cycle. Everything happens for a reason and Im pretty happy where i ended up this fall.

Thank you for sharing that! Although I have to admit, I'm even more concerned now

I thought my interview went great at BU and I was accepted.
I thought I totally blew my interview at UNE and I was accepted.
UNE was my first interview and it was MMI so I believe thats why I thought it went so badly. I was super confident at BU for some reason.

Totally unrelated but because I'm interested in both of those schools, I was wondering what your residency is. Im from MA and was curious if BU/UNE/Tufts favors New England residents. Also do you mind sharing your stats? Thanks!

I live in NH and was in the first rounds of interviews for each school. UNE definitely favors new England residents. BU doesn't seem to directly state they do but there were only a few OO-NE and mostly new englanders.
