Short answer to your question = No. being 33 or 53 shouldn't make a difference. You go in and pop out 4 years later and start working in a comfortable position making a pretty nice salary.

yes. you are too old. most of the people in my class are in the 23 year range and you will not fit in.

You're not too old.

My cousin husband started dental school at 35. she had already finished dental school 3 years before he started.

My other cousin had a class mate who was 45. He had a kid that was only a year or two older than me at the time.

The only thing with being 33 or being an older student than the rest of the class is being relating to them. Though if you're an outgoing person it wouldn't be a problem. Its hard trying to find things in common when there's a large age gap.

I'm going back to school now to finish the prereqs and the classes are full of 19 to 20 year olds. There's a only about 3 or 4 of us who grew up in the 80s. they're all 90s kids.

I knew I was old when only I and the professor knew what VHS was.

I certainly hope not! I'm 38 now with 3 years of undergrad left before I can start dental school. One of our closest friends was 48 when he started med school. I keep thinking- I'll be 45 when I finally finish. But, I'd rather be 45 and doing what I want to do than 45 and regretting my life. If you truly want to be a dentist- go for it!
