what's the issue with age.

does it hurt you? all things being equal, do program directors tend to look at older apps for rad? or does it hurt you? let's say, 28 to 33 as first cut, then 34 to 40 as second cut.

any thoughts?

If you are pushing retirement age, then it might hurt you, otherwise if you will be able to work for the next 5 years without stroking out or going senile and are physically able to take overnight call, you are in the running.
