hej i want to use Outlook to check my military e-mail but i don't know how 2 set it up. specifically i don't know what the pop and smtp servers are. anyone have any insights on this issue???

i can't find the info on their site

you can't. The military removed the ability to use pop servers about 6 months ago. You have to go to the site. And to make things more annoying they make you change your password every 6 months and it has to be some impossible combination of at least 10 figures utilizing at least 2 letters and 2 numbers. They make is so annoying that you have to write it down to remember the damn thing now...and we all know how safe that is.

that is sooooooooo freaking unkool

i know about the password and it si very annoying...i can basely remeber the damn thing

that is really stupid that you can't use a program to get your e-mail..grrrrrrrr 😡

i've actually found the AKO site to be pretty handy.

and passwords are easy, just switch whatever letters you capitalize, but use the same password.

I still use Outlook to send and recieve mail through my AKO account. They have very specific instructions and you need to download their security certificate.

Check out the instructions at: https://akomail.us.army.mil -- click on the "configuration information" at the bottom of the page. It'll tell you what you need to set-up Outlook.
