Just to follow up, some students choose to not have all their rotations in one place. I for one have my entire 3rd year at one hospital in Florida. So it is up to the individual. some kids do get the unfortunate situation of someone canceling their rotation, and I know this stuff doesn't happen at big MD schools with their own teaching hospitals, but it's the world we live in. You have to make the best of it and learn as much as you can no matter where u are.
