Just wondering if anyone took their DAT at the prometric center in alameda, CA. If so could you tell me if it was a decent center? In addition, for Reading comprehension I am planning on reading the question first and then going to the passage and finding the answer. Do you guys think that this works? I've tried reading the passages quickly first, but it slows me down even more. And as it is I don't finish on time. Also in terms of improving on the QR section do you guys have any suggestions besides going over your wrong answers on previous practice exams? Also what are your suggestions for improving my speed on this section?

-Thanks
jj

By analyzing the passage SCIENTIFICALLY you will save time. Some methods are:

1) Read the passage title and jump to the questions. After each question, scientifically scan the passage until your key word shows up. For example, say a question stem has the key word "diagnose" in it. Then look for the paragragh that talk about diagnosis.

2) Read the topic (first sentence) sentence of each paragragh, and then approach the questions. A well written passage will have all the pertinent information in the topic sentence. The topic sentence gives you the scope of that paragraph.

3) Go straight to the questions, and analyze the scope and passage title as you approach each question.
