Even though ACP has a 3 year accelerated PharmD program for post bac students (in addition to the 6 year program for high school students), this school should avoided, especially for minority students. The school faculty are mostly whites and have a tendency look down on minority students. Instead of wanting to see students to succeed, ACP faculty use intimidating methods to weed out students. Pharmacotherapy/theurapeutics exams are offly hard and not based on lectures, but based on your "experiences" in the pharmacy. The professors (profs) won't give you back your exams because they're too lazy to write exams for next year. The basic sciences profs are nice but the pharmacy deparment "profs" are really PharmDs with no experience in teaching and doing research. Most of them just got their PharmDs the previous 1-2 years and return to ACP to torture, NOT teach, students. On clinical rotations, they expect you to know everything and kiss their ass. The "profs" you should avoid are the young PharmD females like Shannon Miller (Rivers), Marcary Marciniak (Weck), Susan Bruce, Jennifer Cerulli, etc. They like to torture minority students. The student population is mostly whites but there is a sizable minority pop in the accelerated class. If you'd like to know more about ACP, please feel free to email me at [email protected]
