it's okay. at least it makes the Chicago/NY decision a little easier 🙄 I'm still waiting to hear from NYMC. If I don't get accepted there, I'll be moving to Chicago.

ps-at UIC I would become in state after my first year because I'm married and my husband would become a resident but, I haven't been accepted...

That'd be amazing. From my understanding, that's one of the only ways to gain residency.
 
sorry did any of you (people who received mail regarding acceptance/rejection) interview dec 11 or later? im just wondering because....so far no news yet. and I'm assuming every1 gets a decision

I interviewed the first week of Oct. I'm sure you'll hear something soon, and that they just haven't gotten to your application yet. Good luck!!!!!

i interviewed 9/7 and got the acceptance in a skinny envelope on 1/16 (in NJ)!!!

Anyone hear anything about a second look opportunity? It's hard for me to remember way back to September...

Got the letter in the mail yesterday, I was accepted!!!!!!! My first one! wooo hoo 😀 😀 :laugh:
I interviewed the week of Dec. 11th, and am in Cali.
 
Any other rejections? I wonder if they accept most of the people they interview early and I'm one of the few rejectees 🙁

It seems like most of you kids with acceptances have higher stats than I do...
 
i was waitlisted. i don't think they accept "most" of the people who interview early....

i think people who are accepted are a lot more likely to announce it on a public forum than those who were rejected or waitlisted.

I agree. I was just guessing about the "most" part. SDN is not representative of the overall applicant pool.
 
there were a bunch of different aecom threads started in the last week or so, so i'm not sure which one(s) i replied in, but i also was rejected post-interview recently.

keep your chin up, morriske. or at least rest a little easier knowing there are others in your situation too. i didn't think my interview went too badly, so i was a little surprised by the outright rejection. i figured a waitlist at worst, but goes to show you what i know.

good luck with the rest of your apps...

Thanks 🙂 I have a 31/3.5 so I'm not too surprised. I'm happy that I have one acceptance.

does anyone know if AECOM is interviewing anymore, i'm from nyc, and i was complete like december 19th which may be the reason and then the holidays but yeah ...............
 
I interviewed Dec 19. I called the office and they said decisions will be made in 6-8 weeks. No sure what is going on!

when I interviewed on Dec. 18th, they told me the same timeline. I wouldn't worry too much though as it seems some people who interviewed earlier than you haven't heard either . Congrats on your other acceptances especially Case Western. I got in too, is this your top choice so far? Maybe we'll see one another in the fall. Good luck on hearing from Einstein.
 
I think I got accepted into AECOM!!! I got the 'Uncle Albert Club' email so I guess I got in!!! I'm so freaking ecstatic right now. I guess the letter went to my school address. WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! 😀 😀 😀

Ugh, now I'm paranoid that it was a mistake and my celebration was a bit premature. It wasn't an email JUST about the Uncle Albert club, there were also the subjects of computer requirements, match list of last year, student website, financial aid tuition and they all had links. I spoke to a current MS1 at AECOM and she says that everyone who is accepted gets that email ::shrug::
 
I got an acceptance letter and the e-mail.....so I wouldn't worry! Congrats on your new acceptance!

Maybe they send them in batches, I got mine the day after the letter. I wouldn't be concerned. Congrats!
 
sooo.... who's going to accept? and does anyone have any idea how much it costs to live in the bronx - everything but rent, that is.
 
I think housing in the bronx is about $350-$450 if you share a 1 bedroom apartment (living room converted to a bedroom). It is pretty reasonable compared to a lot of places. Just wondering, did anyone interview at aecom on 12/20 and get any response? I haven't heard a peep from the school.

i interviewed that week as well, and i haven't heard anything either. guess we're in the same boat! good luck to u!
 
I interviewd 12/20. I called and was told that it could take up to two months after the interview.
 
REJECTED! Guess they had made a decision, after all. I'm not upset, but surprised -- had a very good interview, and my numbers are certainly not weak. Oh, well.
 
waitlisted, they warn that they don't expect much movement....
 
Did anybody from the west coast hear from AECOM? They are taking forever 🙁

I interviewed end of November, live in NYC, and havent heard anything from them yet :scared: . I have only one other interview so far and havent heard from 5 of 10 schools yet so Im pretty nervous. Im a non-trad with poor undergraduate, decent post-bac and great MCAT's, LOR's, experience, etc.. and AECOM is my first choice.

Ditto. I interviewed Nov. 22nd, live about 25 minutes outside of NYC and haven't heard back from them yet... Damn waiting game.
 
So impatient and nervous as I am, I called up and asked about the status of my application. I was told that it is still under review and that i should hear something next month. I dont know if this is good or bad but it definately does not relieve me of my fears. I still have one more interview and five schools from which I am waiting to hear ( though am starting to lose hope of being invited to interview ).
 
Does anyone know if AECOM provides merit scholarships? Or is it all needs based? I think I may be turning down my offer there if not... 🙁
