I'm a NJ resident and I'm trying to decide which of the 2 I should apply to. Which is generally considered better?

AE is considered better. Gtown has a strong undergrad name going for it, but the med school is considered by many to be average.

And for some reason, G-town is really selective!

Thanks for the input guys. You saved me a little cash. I probably won't bother applying to Georgetown since I'd like to stay closer to home.

Albert Einstein of Yeshiva University is ranked 37th in the nation and Georgetown Universitiy Medical School is ranked 45th in the nation under research according to US News and World Report, so they are pretty close and probably both considered a little better than average. However, Yeshiva U. is ranked 41st for Primary Care, whereas Georgetown is not ranked at all under this category.

The US News rankings are good to use as a general guideline, but most people don't put give it much credit beyond that. Though there appears to be little space between them on the research rankings, I would still say that AE is considerably better than Gtown.

Apply to both.

AECOM probably has a better curriculum (Georgetown is lacking in women's health particularly, but still a great school.) Why not just go to UMDNJ?
