So after a long delay of LOR's, they're finally all in. Now that all the documents are in, should I send an email to all the programs stating that everything's in, or do they already have automatic notifications about that?

Same thing on this end... for most programs. I'd let THEM figure it out that your file is complete. The line between being "on top" of your applications and becoming annoying is probably an extremely narrow one with certain admissions committees.

They're notified. Don't bug them. Most people are only now starting to be complete adn the PDs really dont want an email from every single applicant saying so.

I've been told when you have a reasonable update to your file, a short email to the program coordinator (not the residency director) is justified. I doubt a 2-sentence email will put any applicant in the doghouse with a program, and if it does, that program sounds a bit too uptight for me.

I think a reasonable update is a new award or something that you are unable to add to ERAS. (eg a new award or research publication)

A letter gives them an automatic notification because it goes through ERAS.

aPD even said in another threat that it was unnecessary to update them:
