If I were to go into human medicine, it would have to be pathology.

sweet! all the smartest people i know are pathologists....like scary smart...

This is a hypothetical. You get to chose any of the specialties.

-All get paid $175,000 per year.
-All work 60 hours per week, 10 hours per day for 6 days every week.
-You get 4 weeks of vacation.
-All require 4 years of residency. There is no such thing as fellowship in this scenario.
-All are of equal competitiveness and prestige.

Which would you choose?

Probably something in internal medicine. I like hospitals but surgery isn't worth it if its the same pay and same prestige.
