Hey
I just wanted to know if you go into the atlantic bridge program;

1. How many years is it?
2. Where do you do your clinical rotations?
3. Can you transfer into a Canadian or American Medical school during ur time there?
4. Can you get American Residency? (if you complete the degree in Ireland)

Thanks ya'll

1. 5 years if you have a previous degree - 6 if you don't.

2. You do your clinical rotations at teaching hospitals in Ireland. Clinical stuff starts in year 3 of 5.

3. You can but it hardly ever happens. A couple leave after 1st or 2nd year here to start again in first year in North America. I heard of one guy on this board who applied after 3rd year here and left after 4th to start in 3rd year in America. Pretty hard to do though.

4. Yes, just have to write the USMLE's. Most Americans here go back to America.
