Anyone here gotten accepted from the 2nd/3rd/4th quartiles?

I was just notified that I was placed in the 3rd quartile and I'm not sure where I stand realistically. Their explanation page says that students placed in the 3rd rank are in a "grey area" but has anyone here gotten accepted from the 3rd rank?

Yes, in the past, I believe that some people have been accepted from the third quartile. However, each year is very very different, so it’s hard to say exactly where you stand. Do you have any other schools as back ups?

It's really hard to tell with waitlists I think...I was in 1st quartile but didn't get accepted until mid July =/ Do send them an intent letter though! I think it helps.

I do! But a part of me wants to stay in SoCal & close to home. Only time will tell, I suppose!

Last year everyone got off the waitlist! i am also in the 3rd quartile!
