I just started my first year and am assuming this book is the norm for all schools. I was wondering if anyone knew of any alternatives or supplements that might help? I find the text rather hard to follow at times, and a lack of practice questions is annoying. I've heard part 1 dental decks are good, but would they be of any help at this point? Thanks!!

DA texts are more for reference than for reading through. Part one decks are pretty good but not complete. Another text, however, if you want to check it out is Woelfel's Dental Anatomy: Its Relevance to Dentistry. It has ten or so questions at the end of each chapter.

If you are studying for a class, study the materials presented in the class as this is a high-yield area for questions. You could also consider released part 1 board questions purchased from the ADA website, First Aid for the NBDE part I, and Kaplan part 1 review w/ q-bank.

i love that book, it has all the info needed
