Side note, we are doing a study which tests Lipitor's (atorvastatin) ability to increase bone density. Very interesting, in that most women on lipitor are post-menopausal and are high risk for osteoporosis. It is called the BONES study.
Baycol was removed from the market in September or October of last year.
And personally, if I were to take an HMG-CoA Reductase inhibitor - it would be Lipitor. It will be the first script I write for myself. We had a big running joke in a class last year that an ACE Inhibitor and statin drug should be placed in the water supply similar to fluoride.
