Did you guys hear back about financial aid at all yet?

Alvernia has no graduate level financial aid available, unfortunately. All funding will come from loans and outside scholarships.

The undergraduate students receive generous financial aid, but I confirmed that graduate students are unsubsidized. Don't recall anything online that necessarily suggested any financial support. Anyway, if you've done your fafsa you can begin applying for government loans or private loans at your discretion. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. 🙁

Hmmm. Well I'll go tomorrow and talk to someone. It is just weird because online you can see how much money your family contribution would be and the amount I would need... I don't understand why they would put that.

$700 per credit plus applicable fees on a per-class basis (very reasonable.) i believe that data you are referring to is just a projected guideline, not hard numbers.

I LOVE the school!! It felt so right being there and everyone was so helpful and polite. Did you buy any books yet? I really wanted to get a start on it this summer but I'm afraid I'll buy them and the books will get changed.

Wow! thats great, I'm glad. I actually plan on visiting this Thursday. I did plan on getting my books this summer, but I hope it doesn't change either. I may just a buy a few. Also, did you fill out your housing application or did you plan on living off campus? I filled mine out already. I hope to see the apartments the day I visit.

I know this is an old thread.. but can anyone tell me how the leveling courses work for Alvernia? I know online it says the program is 3 1/2 years but can be done sooner if you have leveling courses. Is there a way to take them over the summer prior to the start of the program?

I just received an email from Kelly that I have been put on a waiting list for the MSOT program. Does anyone have any experience with the waiting list as far as how many students are put on the waiting list?

This was my first choice and although I have waited this far to receive an email, it looks as if I have to wait a little bit longer 🙁

I was put on the waiting list as well. I was talking to someone who attends now and she said a lot of people in her cohort were accepted off the waitlist... So there is still a chance. I'm not sure how many or how it works. I asked Kelly if there is a ranking. I will post if she tells me anymore info. It's my first choice as well, so I'm hoping we don't have to wait too, too much longer!! Good luck

Thank you for the response! That makes me feel so much better! It's the only thing I've been able to think about!!! I didn't get any sleep last night over it lol good luck you to as well!!

Of course! Kelly responded to me today and said that they do not provide students with their ranking. So just have to hope and pray while we wait some more!!
