HIII..

Hope anyone can help me ....

4 months ago i had BITEMPORAL HEMIANOPIA ...

so i did MRI.... the radiologist said that every thing is normal..

Do you think that i should visit a neurologist (am afraid).:scared:

We have a family history of MS...

thanx

Bitemporal hemianopsia is not a typical sign of MS. It's usually a sign of something else that oftentimes can be medically or surgically corrected if caught early. I'd highly reccomend making that visit to your neurologist.

You ordered the MRI yourself and the radiologist gave you the report directly???

I had no idea that radiologists contacted patients about their test results...

i just came from the neurologist....

he saw my MRI. and he said that its not that clear

and in my age its very common to have MS.

he told me to wait and if i had Visual Disturbance once again >>

i should visit him again to do some tests...

thank you for your advice ckent..

* i went to diagnostic center at the begining " tofurious" and i took the result from there..then i went to the neurologist at the end.. i was really afraid that i could have MS.

is usually due to a pituitary tumor that compresses the optic chiasm. To rule this out, an MRI with attention to the sella turcica is essential. Since most pituitary tumors are hormonally active, you can also check for serum prolactinand other pituitary hormone levels.

MS could be a cause of bitemporal hemianopsia, but that would be extremely unlikely.
