Hello everyone! I am new to this forum and would like to know if I am a good candidate for pharmacy school. I intend on applying for Fall 2009 admission and ideally I'd like to go to UCSF, UCSD, & USC. Here is my profile: I graduated from UCI with two degrees: B.S. in Chemistry and a B.S. in Biological Sciences. My cummulative GPA was a 3.389. My Biology science GPA is only a 2.8 but my Chemistry GPA is a 3.5. My transcript is not perfect - I've gotten a few Cs. Last summer I interned and did drug discovery research a major pharmaceutical company and according to my former boss my research will be published. I am currently working as a lab assistant at a hospital and volunter at a local clinic. I have talked to multiple clinical pharmacists about their occupation. I am positive that I want to go to pharmacy school and would like to know what my chances are with my profile. Thank you for your help!

With your two degrees and GPA. You have excellent chance to get in. Try to get as high a PCAT score as you can. 85+ composite will be a big help.

If this person only wants to apply to California pharmacy schools they actually don't need a PCAT.

i think you have a great chance! ucsf doesnt care much about gpa...but more on the overall person. just apply early! good luck
