Hello,

I already sent in my application without marking myself as underrepresented. However, I've always been curious if I qualify as underrepresented. Or if I'm in the minority.

My mother is Mexican, and my father is American. I was born in United States, but raised in Mexico. Ethnic-wise I consider myself Hispanic. However, racially, I look like a typical American with my White skin, Green eyes & Dirty Blond Hair.

I look a lot like my dad. But my blood sister is the opposite of me, she looks like my mom. She has black hair, brown eyes & sports that Latina tan. If she were to say that she's a minority there would be no questions asked. However, I'd probably get someone to roll their eyes, and think I was abusing the minority system.

You for sure can consider yourself underepresented, just be prepare for some people to be skeptic about it. You are what you are, so who cares what they think. Good Luck =)

Heck yes!

I have a cousin for the longest time I thought was white. I mean blond hair, blue eyes, lily white... Im AA. Genes lines are funny like that. But as previously stated, you are what you are. Be proud.
