Am I competetive? Help Please :)

Hi everyone! This is my first post haha yay!

ANYWAY, I want to apply to all 8 podiatry schools and don't know if I will be mildly competitive or VERY competitive. Here they are:

Research: 1.5+ years and a publication
Volunteer: Various for 140+ hours and a special project
Good Letters of rec +one from a podiatrist
GPA 3.77
MCAT 19
I'm in a fraternity in my spare time

Any luck or is my mcat going to sink me?

If you are worried about the MCAT take it again in September. Spending $200 now might save your behind in the long run. Although I'm sure your stats would get you into a few of the schools, not necessarily the "top tier" schools. If I were you I would retake the MCAT so that I could get into the best school because your other stats are great! 🙂

EDIT: Now that I understand you are trying to get into school with your gf, retake retake retake!

Retake your MCAT....what was your degree in, if you don't mind me asking?

I think Barry wanted a 19 or 20 MCAT. The california school wants an 18 or higher. OCPM wanted a 21 or higher. I know AZpod had an MCAT avg around 26 or 27 last year. I do not know about NY, temple or scholl. We can see if anyone will help us with that. GPA is fine as long as it is not in basket weaving. Just apply. Take the MCAT in sept if you want to apply to all 8 schools. Or you can apply to my new carribean podiatry scool. It is called dorsum of the penis college of podiatric medicine. It is on the bahamas and will not be accredited for ten years but there always must be a first class.

my degree was in biology with a prehealth emphasis i was originally premed but shadowed a podiatrist and found my calling 🙂 but yeah I am retaking it Aug 5th so hopefully like a 22-23 for my goal 🙂
