My gpa now is a 2.94 I still have three more semesters to go.

I have retaken three pre req classes for D.O school after failing
My sGPA with the retakes is a 2.19 and without retakes is 1.62

I am hoping to work hard and make all A's and B's in my remaining semester. I am a biology major with just science classes left.

Is a Post bac a good option or is there a better one?

Is there any hope for me?

Do you have overhead space to retake one or two classes in these three semesters? If you do, I would take one more (two if you're confident) and maybe a summer course retake.

I don't have space, so I was thinking get my biology degree then spend a year in post bac retaking classes, but I wasn't sure if it was a good idea.

Apply for post-bacc or Masters and kill the MCAT.

You have 3 semesters left! 3 semesters, you didn't consider summer classes. You can bring your GPA in 3 range if you work hard at it.

1) Go seek out your school's learning or education center, and get help with learning styles, test taking skills etc. You're not dead yet, but you have to fix your deficits.
2) Go to your school's counseling center and get help if life issues are affectign your learning.
3) ALWAYS have a Plan B.
4) retake ALL F/D/C science coursework.

Keep retaking until your GPA gets up to an acceptable range. You're not dead in the water. If you make a big recovery, it would make you a strong applicant. People root for the underdog, and having come back from a 1.6 GPA is no easy feat.

Good luck.

@AmcyLi when I started my "redemption tour" 4 years ago my GPA was a 2.06 and sGPA was a 1.34
After numerous retakes, I'm now at GPA 3.46 and sGPA 3.49
Slow and steady wins the race. I'm a firm believer that you're never completely screwed.
Now get to work. 😉

Listen to @FutureDrB he knows the score.

Just know that without the hardest work you've ever put in in your entire life, you are screwed. So be ready to work if you want to succeed.

That's exactly what I did. Sometimes you need to just finish, take a break and work, then go back and do your post bacc year. It won't seem as hard then.

Post-Bacc seems likely for you
