Hi all,

This is the distribution of my grades over the last 2 years. I feel discouraged at the number of B's I've received. There are currently 5 C's left in my sciences, and I'll be repeating 3 of them before applying to DO schools. I've received A's in all of my repeats. But, am I even on the right track so far with my post-bacc? I have backup plans besides DO, and I'm wondering if all signs are pointing to giving up on hopes of DO acceptance.

I'm posting without course names for confidentiality. These include repeats and new courses. If all goes well in spring 2016, I should have a ~3.3 sGPA.

Spring 2014 (Still in undergrad) 3.1
Upper div science B
Upper div science B
Upper div science B+

Summer 2014 (Last course of undergrad) 3.3
Lower div science B+

Fall 2014 (Beginning of post-bacc) 4.0
Upper div science A

Spring 2015 3.5
Lower div science A
Upper div science A
Upper div science B 🙁
Upper div science B 🙁

Summer 2015 4.0
Upper div science A

Fall 2015 3.7
Upper div science B (Microbiology 🙁 )
Upper div science A
Non-science A (pre-req for my plan B)

Spring 2016
Repeat 3 sciences that have previous grade of C during quarter, finish by March
Take MCAT late May

I should have only 2 C's left in my sciences over my last 6 years of undergraduate work. They will all be 3-4 years old by the time I apply.

You're fine. Just get A's on your retakes and do well on the MCAT and you'll get in somewhere.

What is your overall uGPA? What is overall GPA from post-bacc?

@adrian710 Post-bacc GPA is close to a 3.7, should be higher by the time I apply because of next quarter. All retakes have been A's. My sGPA was 2.7 upon graduating and I've worked it to a 3.0 within 1 1/2 years. Cumulative GPA is 3.05.

I also have strong ECs with the underserved and two recommendation letters from DO school professors, if that counts for much

I think you are golden if you as long as you perform 500+ on MCAT. They are going to put most weight on post-bacc performance and you have done really well. What post-bacc program are you doing? Is it a linkage DO program?

Probably a DIY postbac given all the retakes
