I really don't understand this...my highest score to date was the aamc 3 diagnostic, the first test i took. That was a pathetic 23. Since then ive been doing practice tests, princeton and aamc, and with every test my score just drops..from 22 to 21 to 19 to the lovely 17 i got today. am i just retarted?

No, but with those scores, there is likely a pretty significant hole in your understanding of the subject matter. How extensive has your content review been? Consider another run-through of the material.

After that, don't worry about practice tests until you have done plenty of practice passages. Work through practice passages untimed at first and then start doing them timed so that you develop a rhythm. Then graduate to the full length tests.

That would be my best advice without having any additional info about your preparation so far.

If you are sub 25, I think you need to review your fundamental sciences. Your conceptual understanding may not be at the level it needs to be. That's really the only way you can dip down to the low 20s and late teens.

Don't forget, F=MA

******ed...

lol, i had to sorry. i know it doesn't matter at all. anyhow, i like to view it as a nice sine curve and you are at the bottom of the wave. you'll likely go up soon and hopefully your test date is at the tippy top where amplitude=45. good luck.
