so..i'm applying for 2007 cycle and i wanted to make sure i was on the right track.

1. application is online and you have to basically use note pad or something to paste personal statement and that's that.

2. LOR's i collect as fast as i can and possibly send it AT THE SAME TIME with the online application ( i am sending mine directly to the school)

3. request official transcript and i send that to the school(s) (?)

....sit back and wait. Is this all i have to do guys? the school i want to get into is rolling admission...

You are on the right track.

As EVERYBODY will tell you start to fill out the AADSAS application as soon as possible! The earlier you send it the earlier the schools will get it and you will stand a higher chance of getting an interview and getting in. If you do things early you can potentially know what school you will go to in December (since they start accepting Dec. 1st!)

Sending letter of rec to the schools is a great idea, especially if the writers are ok with printing many and sending it to all the schools you are applying to. I have had problems with AADSAS letters of rec which delayed my application. Try to get those done early too, because sometimes the professor lags. Also call each school to see what letter they need, some want a dentist letter while others don't. Some want 2 science some want more. Check with the school for that.

About the personal essay, start working on it now, since it's the hardest part of the application. Use Word to make sure the spelling is correct. Also make sure to ask your English teacher to review it for grammar and spelling.

The official transcripts, all of them, must first be sent to AADSAS!!! AADSAS uses them to verify your GPA. You have to input all your grades on the application and your official transcripts are used to verify that. BUT some schools request that you send a separate copy to them. For me I had to send an extra copy to UCSF, UCLA, Detroit Mercy, and Tufts. So call each school and find out from them.

Never sit back and relax. That's how people end up in January with no interview because their file was incomplete! Every few weeks call the schools to make sure they have everything, keep sending them updates (if you got more grades or had a new research project, or started a new job, etc.)

Hope that helps. Good luck.

AADSAS requires OFFICIAL transcripts. That said, I had the school (my undergrad and grad) send the transcripts directly to AADSAS and later directly to some of the schools that require them.

In the application (the online one) you will have to enter all the classes you have taken and the grades you got. ALSO you have to send them stranscripts for them to verify it.

For a few schools you will need high school transcripts (UCLA is an example), so I got a sealed envelope from my high school and sent it myself to UCLA.

As long as your stranscripts are sealed and are official it's all good!

HOWI is possible to send the sealed transcripts with seal and watever on it from my own schools meaning get an official hand copy (I went to JC and now cal state) put both of them unopened sealed in a big envelope and send them together, which will make it easier on adsaas. Will aadsas accept it this way? because they are sealed official copies. The reason i ask is because my jc can't send them out properly, i dunno they make too many mistakes and i don't want to have to deal with the problem of not having the school send it and waste my time with this nonsense.

I have the same question too. I will have transcripts from 4 different schools by the time I apply and put them all in one big envelope might minimize the chance of losing one of them.

As far as I know, they will accept them as long as they are sealed (with signature or stamp or whatever) and are official.
