Hello, I’m almost 19 majoring in biomedical science, will be able to graduate in May 2025 (finished half my college credits during HS) im currently a scribe at the ER, I have plenty of none medical volunteer hours, and I shadowed a cardiologist for 20 hours, currently shadowing a primary care and will be shadowing a pediatric GI after. I’m studying for the MCAT and making progress. My GPA is 4.0. If I will be doing research in fall. If I got a decent MCAT so you think I’m able to apply in the 2025 cycle?

Do you have any community service hours? Are there any opportunities you have had working with people unlike you face-to-face outside of a health-related environment?

Do some volunteering with the underserved.

Also, while if you do all that you say you will do and also get the volunteer hours that you plan to get, along with that solid MCAT, you can certainly apply. You'll have checked the boxes. However, I think your chances of acceptance would be improved if you take a gap/growth year and work in a clinical setting during that time.
