Am I really invited for an interview?

Hey guys. I just looked at my AADSAS Status for Designated School portion and it says that I am "Invited for Interview" at Nova. This just happened today. I check everything on a regular basis and I am a reapplicant but not for the school. I haven't received anything yet from the school... not an e-mail, letter, or phone call. I don't want to sound spazzy but when I applied last year, I didn't get a single interview so I just wanted to make sure that this isn't just a glitch in the computer system.

For those of you who have been invited to an interview at Nova, did your status change first? How were you invited? Please let me know. I can't really breathe until I know this is real. I have never had this happen before.

The same thing happened to me. I got a letter in the mail a week later to confirm the interview. I think its safe to say you got an interview! Congrads.

You got the interview. AADSAS is sometimes a little faster than schools that do mail invites. It is also very often much slower than schools at updating info.

Congrats on your invite! Same thing happened to me. I received the official letter about 3 days afterwards.

Could you tell me when you received your invite and when you are interviewing? I am wondering if I will be interviewing later on or earlier.

Also, do they give you choices as to when you interview?

I received my letter this week and the tell you the date you are invited. You don't get to choose. Unfortunately I sent my secondary to NOVA like 2 weeks ago so I got a late interview date DEC 5. My stats are on predents

Ditto. I sent my secondary a week and a half ago and my payment like 3 days ago. I will probably be interviewing late too. But that's okay, better than nothing. 🙂 I am still happy.

So, they don't give you dates at all? That's pretty crazy. Hopefully we will both get in. Thank you very much for responding.

Wait for the letter until you get too excited about this. Most likely it is an interview, but... last year at this same time I got the same thing on aadsas. "Invited to interview", I jumped out of my seat, the implications of getting an early interview and the thoughts that all my hard work was going to pay off were spilling into my head. I told my family, I told my friends, I think I even told strangers, not because it was Nova but because I was just happy to have gotten an interview. I tried calling to schedule the interview for three days, but there was a hurricane and the school was shut down... it was the longest three days of my life.

Finally, I get through, I tell them I had gotten "the invite" and that I needed to schedule it.

"whats your name?" she says. I tell her

"Hmm... whats your SSN?" she says. I tell her

"can you hold on for one second, I'm not seeing anything here" No problem, take your time I say. I start getting this awful feeling in my gut....

"Um.. Mr. Johnson, I think that was placed there by mistake..." I heard her, but all I could manage was "what?" I was crushed...

Bottom line, dont get too excited until you get that letter in your hands and you read it twice, even then... I'd wait to celebrate until after you've scheduled it. Good Luck, and I hope its real.

I'd bet the farm you've got an interview slowly working it's way throught the USPS right now. Many people have posted the same situation w/ Nova; my invite w/ them was the same as well. I got the letter about a week after seeing the AADSAS update. Congrats!
