for applying to Florida schools only? My stats are not so stellar, 3.2 GPA and I await PCAT results. Should I apply to Mercer, which is the state next door (Georgia) or others?

I understand it is personal but what do you think?

My choices are:

1) ?

2) ?

3) ?

4) ?

do u have any pharmacy experiences, volunteer and/or community services? how many credit hours have u taken? do u have a degree already? i think a 3.2 isnt too bad. if u do well on your pcat, then i think u will have a good chance. my stats arent that great either and ive received some interview offers.

I think applying to more schools will always give you a better shot. Better to increase your chances as much as possible.

I was in the a similar position. I had a 3.3 science GPA and 76 PCAT (that later turned into an 86), and I applied to UF, Nova, PBA, South, Mercer and Wingate. I got accepted to Wingate and UF, interview offers from PBA and South that I declined and didn't bother finishing the Nova supplemental. Basically, apply to the southeast.. not to just Florida. 😉

Thank you for your response! Did you only apply to Florida schools? Your interviews are all in Florida? I don't have pharmacy experience and I explained that in my PS. I volunteered as a tutor teaching students math and English. I've already taken 89 credit hours and am enrolled in 22 credit hours this fall. I don't have a degree. For the PCAT, I expect to have 90+ %tile in both verbal and biology. The rest I'm not sure. If I do so well in these two, can it significantly offset subpar scores so that I end up with around 80 %tile? Congrats on receiving interviews! I never realized how difficult it would be just to wait, not so much the PCAT, but for interview offers.

Ok! I will really consider these schools! I think you prolly' got into the most prestigious one though. Thank you for your input!

Thx everyone.

i applied to mostly florida schools since im from florida. if you're worried and you want to increase your chances of getting in, then i say just apply to any schools that you are qualified for. that is, if you dont mind relocating once you get accepted. this is my third time applying =\ ... i received 2 interviews last year, but didnt get in because of my low pcat scores. hopefully i'll get in this year since my pcat score is better than last time. but yeah, all you can do now is just wait since you already submitted everything in. good luck!

i think lecom is pretty easy to get in to if you have a lot of money
