So after much emailing and a request to refund all who applied to Mt Sinai for the RadOnc program, I got an offer to refund my application fee. I feel this was a just settlement and encourage all those who felt that on top of this process being absolutely agonizing to contact the address below for thier refund as well. Good luck all. Here is a copy of the most recent correspondence:
The reference you made represents a flaw in our information which I've
asked staff to correct. Freida nor the Green Book is a definitive
source of which programs are participating in ERAS. The reason we ask
applicants to contact the programs directly is because those files
become obsolete almost as soon as they're posted. They're only as good
as programs going in to update them.
While I'm not convinced that the program told you they were
participating in ERAS this year, I do reognize that our information
provided in Ms. Randolph's e-mail is a bit misleading with regard to how
you should contact programs to find out about their participation in
ERAS.
In order for Ms. Randolph to process the $25 credit, she will need your
credit card information (name on card, card number, expiration date) as
we do not store that information once your payment is processed. Please
forward that information to her as soon as possible.
Best wishes,
