i submitted my amcas yesterday (6/23) and requested a transcript exception for one school cuz i haven't gone there yet, but plan to study abroad through that school second semester next year. i haven't been accepted into their program or anything, but i figured it should be on my application since i'm almost definitely gonna go.

i started to get worried about it last night right after submitting, when the "transcript exception pending" status appeared next to the school name on the welcome page. do you think i'll be able to get an exception for this or is it gonna totally screw me over?

You are worried about nothing - you probably can't even get a transcript if you haven't gotten any grades. Despite AMCAS' blockheadedness, they will know that...

how can you have a transcript for a program you:

a) haven't even attended
b) haven't been accepted to yet

I agree with the above posters. Also, I studied abroad the year before applying (so technically I did have a transcript), but the grades appeared on my regular transcript and I got an exemption. (It was a study abroad program associated with my undergrad).

haha, ye.

just a little moment of gunner paranoia there guys. everyone seems to have these nightmares with amcas, so i just wanted some support.

thanks.
