I'm posting this question here based on the assumption that premeds may have higher than average powers of observation.
I just checked out a movie called "Marty". It is about a NY butcher who is a bachelor at 34 b/c he hasn't been lucky with the ladies. The interesting thing is that Marty Pilleti (ernest Borgnine) looks amzingly like "Shrek". Better still, it seems Shrek was caste in the image of this Marty character. Was this intentional? Has anybody else noticed this? Are there a lot of modern movies that make such subtle references to old ones? I'm very curious.
