Just a little thing me and some residents have going. What is the ambulation distance required before DVT prophalaxis (lovenox,SCD,etc) can be stopped? Wasn't sure if there has been any research articles or studies done on this if anyone knew of. Let me hear ya 2cents
 
I've seen some people use 500 feet.

Most of the time they must walk out the door!
 
We use 150 feet, but i don't know what study that is based on... something from the 1980's, i believe.
