I have a quick question that i hope doesn't sound too trivial...when are we supposed to send transcripts to AAMC? I'm planning on applying like as soon as possible but I'm still taking my last quarter of English (to fulfill the 1 year requirement). If i send my transcript in now, that class won't be on there...what should i do?

I guess it depends on when you're quarter is finished. It takes AMCAS anywhere from 4-8 weeks to verify your transcript once they've received it. The earlier you send it in, the faster they process it. Schools usually don't care if they don't have all your grades for your pre-reqs ahead of time, especially English (I took my last English course after I applied). If you can send your transcript in by early June, then wait for your grades to be posted. If not, just go ahead and send it as soon as you can.

you can still list the english class, as well as any future classes you plan on taking. when I applied, I hadn't even taken my first physics class (I took them over the summer and in the fall). One school asked me at my interview whether I had completed the requirement by the time of my interview, but no one else said anything.

If you're only worried about the class because you want the additional A factored into your GPA, remember that it will probably only mean a few hundredths of a point at the most.

I'd say as a rule of thumb, send everything in as soon as possible. This way if there are any difficulties, you can get them taken care of in a timely manner.

Thanks guys for all your help! much appreciated!
