AMCAS AP Grades for UCLA

Hi everyone,

For those who attended UCLA as an undergrad: I attended UCLA for undergrad too. I was wondering whether I need to upload my AP scores from high school onto the coursework section? I don't know for sure, but I don't think the official transcript lists AP scores when they're sent to AMCAS.

Did you receive credit for the AP courses? Or did you just take the tests? The score doesn't matter unless you received credit for the tests at your university, and they won't show up on your transcript unless you received credit. Contact UCLA's registrar and ask, or request an unofficial transcript so that you can see what exactly is on your transcript. The latter is pretty common practice for ensuring that you are entering your coursework completely and correctly.

Did you receive credit for your AP tests at UCLA? If so, they'll appear on your transcript as a single item that says ADVANCED PLACEMENT: X credits.

Thanks for the replies. I received credit for AP Calc for the Math 3A series but that's about it. I retook all the AP Chem, Physics, etc.

I've been using the Degree Progress Report (DPR). Can you determine whether you've received AP credit through the DPR?

Email your counselor for a pdf version of your unofficial transcript. It'll show any AP credit you've received.
