Does anyone know what specifically this category applies to? I'm assuming it's scientific conferences, of course, not things like comic book conferences. I've been a speaker at a couple of public health related conferences, and I'm wondering if I should include it on AMCAS. Any thoughts? Anyone else fill in this category on AMCAS? Thanks... 👍

yeah i think you should include it. I mean, why not? I was wondering about this portion on the amcas too, and decided to put down a conference i attended by celera genomics CEO and another conference by this guy that i don't freaking remember. BAD. Good luck!

What if it was just like a leadership, cross-cultural type deal? Not health related whatsoever. Worth slapping on there?

did you do anything there? If you just attended some seminars, I'd think twice about entering it. If you had a presentation/poster, then unless you've got 15 other things on the AMCAS, by all means, put it on there.

Anyone else include conferences on their application?

wow, if you spoke at a medical/scientific conference, i think that's very impressive so you definitely should put it down.

i went to the international association of dance medicine (IADMS) conference (www.iadms.org) 2 years - the first year i presented a poster, the second year i just attended... i listed them separately (the first as "presentation" the second as "conferences attended").
