Amcas Disadvantaged status? Very confused

Hi,

My family moved to the US when I was 10 and struggled to make ends meet until I started college.

How does one know that they are disadvantaged? Or what sort of justification should be displayed. We are allowed 1300 characters.

I couldn't find any final advice regarding this.

Disadvantage status refers to the majority of your childhood (1-18 years old), whether you have to suffer from financial hardship that might lead to lack of education or something like that. If you feel that it applies to you, then check that box.
