Hey all!
My wife is applying for her AMCAS fee waiver under the "legal estrangement clause". Since her father lives in another country and my wife has been surviving here in the US on her own since 2000. The AMCAS wants legal documentation or a "letter from a credible source" verifying this. We don't have any legal documentation showing that my wife has not been in contact with her father, but what do they consider a "credible source"? Has anyone had experience with this? Can we just have her older sister (also living in the US) write a letter verifying this? Just looking for actual experience with this, we all have opinions but I don't think it will help in this particular situation.
thanks
